Far up in a hidden valley, a family of round white trolls lives without a care. They sleep through the winter, fish off the bridge, and leave the door unlocked for whoever might wander in. Anyone is welcome. Stay a week, stay forever, nobody asks questions. Then something always shows up. A hat that turns things into something else. A comet with their name on it. A guest who is not what he seems. One morning the valley is quiet, the next it is not, and the Moomins drop whatever they were doing to go look. That is just how it goes here. What makes it worth watching is how they handle it. No panic, no grand speeches. Moominmamma packs sandwiches for a trip into the unknown. Moominpappa insists on doing things his way. Young Moomi just wants to know what is over the next hill. The strange and the ordinary sit side by side, like a magical storm and a burnt dinner in the same afternoon. So what happens when a visitor arrives who does not want to leave, and the valley decides to keep him?
