On a street corner three minutes from the shopping center, past the office towers, there is a little place called Nekoya. An oak door, brass fittings gone dark with age, a sign with a cat on it. Fifty years in business. Office workers and students crowd in for Western dishes with plenty of extras, and from the outside it looks like nothing special. Just a typical small restaurant. The menu is huge, the food is good, and that is all anyone needs to know. Except for what happens on Saturdays. The sign says closed. It is not closed. The bell above the door rings, and in walk customers from other worlds: dragons, elves, fairies, mages, all of them squeezing into booths and arguing over what to order. A chef everyone calls Master works the kitchen and greets each one with a quiet smile, no questions asked. So why does a man with no name keep a door open to strangers from everywhere and nowhere, one day a week?
