Windy Tales

Fuujin Monogatari · 風人物語
Slice of LifeSupernatural2004Production I.GRating 7,30+HD

Nao only ever points her camera at the sky. Clouds, mostly. She and her friend Miki are the entire Digital Camera Club, which should be lonely, except the days drift by soft and easy, one after another, and neither of them seems to mind. Then she spots a cat on the rooftop where she likes to shoot. It is doing something impossible up there. It bends the wind. Nao leans in too far, loses her grip, and goes right off the edge. Somehow she lands in a bigger story. That cat turns out to have a teacher, a man named Mr. Taiki, who knows how to push the air around like it is nothing. Jun, a classmate, ends up tagging along while the girls hunt for the flying cat. Ryoko has her own reasons for hovering near Taiki, and there is Yukio, still carrying the weight of his brother. Far past the city, tucked into the wooded hills, sits a town of people who handle the wind, and Taiki came from there. A festival is coming. Can just anyone learn to grab hold of the wind, or does it have to choose you first?
