Hoop Days
Kazuhiko Aikawa knows what a real basketball team looks like. He captained one of the strongest high school squads around, and now he has transferred to Mizuho High, where the boys' basketball club has been dead for nearly a year. Dust on the court. A locked equipment room. Nobody practicing. Then he starts shooting alone, and something shifts. Four other guys drift back one by one: Takumi, Tsutomu, Kenji, Ranmaru. Five total, just enough to field a team. Now they have to drag themselves through brutal practices and the regional qualifiers, fighting for every win against schools that never stopped playing, chasing a spot at nationals where the best young players in the country collide. It's not only about basketball either. It's school, friendships, the people you love, the choice to give everything to the thing you care about. Can five guys who barely know each other become one team before the season buries them?
