He hustles kids on New York playgrounds. Bets a few coins, wins most of them, sleeps wherever he lands that night. That's Hideyoshi's whole life until a scout hands him a contract and drops him onto a pro roster with a goal that sounds like a joke. Here's the catch. Basketball doesn't belong to humans anymore. The aliens are taller, faster, they jump like they've got springs in their shoes, and they've owned the Space League for years. Earth barely has players left in the game at all. So his team is the first one made up entirely of humans, thrown together to do the impossible and drag the title back home. Hideyoshi has the handle and the nerve, but nerve doesn't block a seven foot alien. Can a homeless kid who's only ever played for pocket change survive a league built to bury his entire species?
