Five losses in a row. East Tokyo United can't buy a win, the locker room is dead quiet, and the fans who used to pack the stands are walking away. There's even talk that the city might pull its support, which would be the end of the club. Years of bad signings and coaches coming and going have left ETU hanging just above relegation, and everyone knows it. Then the board does something nobody saw coming. They hand the team to Takeshi Tatsumi, a coach with a weird streak and a past in this very club. He was supposed to be a star here once. Instead he walked out years ago and went to England to run an amateur side in the lower divisions, where he somehow kept winning. Now the fans call him a traitor. The clubs ETU faces have deeper pockets and better squads. Tatsumi doesn't seem bothered. He says he knows exactly how to bring down a giant. So can a man the whole stadium hates really save the team that hates him?
