Brooklyn, 1928. The Great War is over, the money is flowing, and something much worse is slipping through the cracks. Demons. Real ones, walking the streets of New York, and the Order of Magdalene exists to put them down. Their best team? A loud, headstrong nun named Rosette and a quiet partner called Chrono. They get the job done. They also blow up half the block doing it. Here is the problem. Those two are not just hunting demons for the paycheck. Rosette is chasing her brother Joshua, who vanished years ago, taken by a demon named Aion. And Chrono knows Aion a little too well. Their history together is written in blood, and neither of them talks about it. So every mission is really a step down a road they might not come back from. The demons keep getting stronger. The trail keeps getting colder. And the closer Rosette gets to the truth about Joshua, the more she has to ask herself what she is willing to pay for it. What exactly is Chrono hiding from her, and what will it cost her when she finally finds out?
