Sakura Kinomoto just wanted to grab a few things at the store. Next thing she knows, she's fishing a winning ball out of the Tomoeda shopping district's year-end lottery: a round trip to Hong Kong, and somehow she gets to bring Tomoyo, her brother Touya, and Yukito along. Even Keroberos comes. Off they go, and for a minute it looks like an actual vacation. Except the dreams started before the trip did. Night after night, the same image: water, and a mysterious woman, and Clow Reed, the man who made the Clow Cards in the first place. Sakura has no idea why any of it is showing up in her sleep, or why the prize landed in her hand at all. Once she's in Hong Kong, Syaoran's family starts filling in pieces of Clow Reed's past, and the trip stops feeling like luck. Something pulled her here. But what does a long-dead sorcerer want with a girl who just wanted to win a vacation?
