Bodacious Space Pirates
Marika Katou has a pretty full schedule. School, the space yacht club, shifts at a retro café where she waits tables. Then two strangers walk in and drop a bomb: her father, who left long ago, is dead. And he was no ordinary man. He was Gonzaemon, a pirate captain whose name people still say carefully. He left her his ship, the Bentenmaru, and its whole crew. Along with a Letter of Marque, one of the last pieces of paper that makes piracy legal. So now she has to decide: keep pouring coffee, or take the captain's chair? The crew is watching. So are government agencies, and a new transfer student named Chiaki Kurihara who shows up asking a few too many questions. The crew needs a captain if they want to stay in business. Will a high schooler really give the orders on a pirate ship?
