Tokyo is still picking up the pieces after the Ryunka mess, and the aliens who caused it have slipped out of Space Federation custody. They are hiding somewhere on Earth. Birdy and Tsutomu are stuck sharing one body again, which means she chases fugitives across the city while he tries to survive high school. Then someone starts killing the escapees one by one. An assassin nobody can identify is working through the same list Birdy is supposed to bring in. She has to catch the criminals before this stranger gets to them, and she has no idea who she is hunting or why they are doing it. Meanwhile, memories from her past keep surfacing, pulling her back to the people who shaped her into the officer she became. The manhunt and the private war are on a collision course, and Tsutomu is right in the middle of it whether he likes it or not. So who is the assassin, and what does Birdy's past have to do with the bodies piling up?
