Minoa Asagaya can't shake one scene from a cartoon she loved as a kid. A robot? A talking cat? She has no idea. She can't even remember the title, and it drives her up the wall. So she starts asking around Sakaneko High, hoping somebody knows. Arisu Kamiigusa, the rich girl everyone adores, overhears her and jumps in. Arisu is a hardcore otaku with encyclopedic knowledge. She doesn't recognize the show either. So they do the only logical thing: they start an anime club. Four more students join, and suddenly Minoa has people to argue with about endings, to lend her manga, to drag her deeper into this stuff. It's fun. It's loud. It's hers. Then the student council starts sniffing around, poking at the club's paperwork, looking for any excuse to shut them down. Why does the student council care so much about a handful of kids watching cartoons after school?
