Four girls, one classroom in Kasukabe, and absolutely nothing urgent to do. Konata Izumi could join any sports team she wanted. She doesn't. She stays up all night cramming before exams, then coasts on raw talent, and honestly, she'd rather be reading manga. Beside her sit the Hiiragi twins: Kagami, who studies hard and snaps at everyone, and Tsukasa, who drifts through the day in her own soft fog. Rounding out the group is Miyuki, polite and impossibly well read, the one who explains things nobody asked about. Then the chatter starts, and it never stops. A debate about how to properly eat a snack turns into a lecture. A school tradition becomes a full investigation. Konata drops an anime reference mid-sentence and Kagami is the only one who catches it, which she hates. Between exams, festivals and lazy afternoons at home, the four of them keep finding new ways to argue about the least important things in the world. There's no villain here, no big tournament, just a group of friends growing a year older and a little closer each time. But with Konata around, even a quiet walk home can turn into something ridiculous. So who exactly is keeping score when the conversation never really ends?
