Konoha Akisato draws background characters nobody will remember. At Blue Bell, her first real job, she paints extras for dating sims while the genre she loves churns out cheap, lazy copies, one after another. Nobody cares about the stories anymore, and she knows it. Then she picks up an old game. A classic. The next thing she knows, the year is 1992 and the whole industry is just waking up. A tiny studio called Alcohol Soft hands her a pen, and she thinks her modern skills will carry her straight to the top. They don't. The tech is ancient, the art is fussy, and everything she knows has to be relearned from scratch. So here she is: one illustrator, a mountain of old-school deadlines, and a chance to draw the heroines she always wanted. Can she really make it in a time that has no idea what's coming?
