A lonely third-year at a Kyoto university looks back on two wasted years: the club he joined went nowhere, his only friend is a ghoulish little creep named Ozu who seems to live for wrecking his life, and the one girl he actually liked got snatched up by that same friend. Then, late one night at a ramen stand behind Shimogamo Shrine, he runs into a man with an eggplant for a head who claims to be a god. Just like that, he gets a second shot, thrown back to the start of college to live it all over. So he tries again. And again. A different club, a different crowd, the same Ozu slithering in to ruin everything, the same quiet underclassman Akashi he keeps failing to ask out. Every replay promises the rose-colored campus life he wanted so badly, and every replay finds some new way to fall apart. Can he actually break the loop, or is he doomed to keep making the exact same mistakes forever?
