Shiki Ichinose likes guns, hates school, and can't keep his temper in check. Then he gets expelled, and a stranger shows up wanting him dead. His adoptive father Tsuyoshi steps in and drops a bomb: the kid carries Oni blood, the same demon blood Momotarou's descendants have been hunting for centuries. Tsuyoshi should know. He used to be one of those hunters. The two men tear into each other while Shiki watches, and Tsuyoshi dies shielding him. Something inside Shiki snaps. The Oni blood wakes up, strong enough to wreck everything around him, and he can't steer any of it. The killer gets away. A teacher named Naito Mudano sees the whole mess and decides the boy is worth something. Now Shiki is enrolled at Rasetsu Academy, where young Oni train to survive a war they never asked for. He wants revenge, sure, but revenge needs control, and control means facing the part of himself that just went berserk. Can a hothead who just lost everything really learn to master the monster inside him, or is the monster already in charge?
