Episode 2 · Takopi's Original Sin

Takopi's Original Sin

A pink squid thing drops out of the sky with one job: make people happy. It almost starves instead. Then a gloomy fourth grader named Shizuka Kuze finds it, feeds it, and gives it a name. Takopii. So far, sweet. Here is the turn. Shizuka's life is a mess, and Takopii has no idea how humans work. It just beams and digs out gadgets from Happy Planet to fix her mood. Every toy, every bit of advice, every bright idea goes sideways. Badly. A small kindness turns into a new disaster, and the disasters stack up fast. Takopii keeps smiling through all of it, convinced it can hand out happiness like candy. But what do you do when someone's hurt runs deeper than you can reach, and every time you touch it you only make things worse?
