Sound! Euphonium
Kumiko starts high school with one plan: stay away from band. That plan dies fast. Hazuki and Sapphire drag her to the club room, and there it is, the euphonium, waiting like it never left. So much for a clean slate. Then the new advisor, Noboru Taki, lays it out. Goof off and play for fun, or grind and chase a spot at nationals. Kumiko freezes at the question. She already knows what happens when you aim high and miss. And standing in that same room is Reina Kousaka, the girl from middle school, the one whose contest moment Kumiko has never managed to shake. Reina has not forgotten either. The rehearsals get brutal, the section fights are worse, and every mistake echoes the last time Kumiko picked up an instrument. Can she face Reina again and actually mean it when she says she wants to win?
