Tsugumi Harudori just enrolled at Death Weapon Meister Academy, and she has a small problem: she has never once turned into a weapon. Not a single time. She keeps putting it off, and honestly, who could blame her. This is the academy one year before the story everyone knows. Death the Kid has not even shown up yet. Sid is still walking around on two legs. Medusa works in the nurse's office, smiling at students like nothing is wrong. Tsugumi and her friends land in the NOT class, the group for kids who are not training to save the world. They are here to learn how not to blow themselves up. Controlling powers, passing tests, surviving dorm life, that is the whole assignment. Except the school is full of weapons and witches and things that bite, and normal never really sticks around for long. Anya or Meme: can Tsugumi really choose one and leave the other behind?
