A few quiet months have passed since Otaru and his marionettes last saved the day. Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry are still under his roof, still fighting over who gets to sit closest to him, still acting more human than any machine has a right to. Then Faust comes back from the dead. Worse, he's picked up right where he left off, poking at marionette tech nobody was ever supposed to touch. And he didn't come alone. The Saber Dolls are standing at his side again, except something has shifted in them. They've fallen for Otaru, hard, and now they're stuck between that feeling and the loyalty they were built to give Faust. Every order he gives them cuts a little deeper than the last, and he knows it. So Otaru has two problems: a madman with a lab full of forbidden hardware, and a pack of deadly dolls who can't decide whether to kiss him or scrap him. Lime and the others aren't about to share him without a fight either. When the dust settles, who's still standing, and who gets hauled off to the junkyard?
