A thunderstorm forces a young goat named Mei into an abandoned barn. He is not alone for long. Something else stumbles in out of the rain, and in the pitch dark neither of them can see what the other looks like. So they talk. For hours. By morning they have promised to meet again. Then the sun comes up. Mei is a goat. Gabu is a wolf. That is the whole problem in one glance. They should be predator and prey, and they both know it. Instead they keep meeting in secret, slipping away to a quiet spot where nobody from either side can see them. It works, for a while. Then their families find out. Now the two of them have to weigh a friendship against everything they were raised to be, and the question gets harder every time someone asks it. Can a goat and a wolf stay friends when the whole world says they cannot?
