Mr. Tonegawa: Middle Management Blues

Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa · 中間管理録トネガワ
ComedyDrama2018MadhouseRating 7,213+HD

Tonegawa runs the numbers for Teiai, a loan outfit that charges crushing interest and breaks kneecaps when the payments stop. He is second in command, sharp, patient, the one who actually keeps the machine running while the boss sits upstairs. Then Kazutaka Hyoudou gets bored. Organize a game of death, he says, casual as ordering lunch. Tonegawa can't say no. Not to him. So now the company's most competent man is stuck herding a pack of clueless underlings through a project nobody sane would touch, all to keep one rich old man entertained for another afternoon. Meetings go nowhere. Instructions get mangled. His own brain won't stop finding problems that don't need solving. And the president is watching, always watching, waiting to see if the fun wears off. Can a guy this smart survive a boss this bored without losing his mind first?
