Gorou Shigeno has made it to the big leagues with the Indiana Hornets, and the World Series is right there within reach. Every pitch he throws carries the weight of years spent chasing this exact moment, and nothing is going to slow him down. Then comes the game against his fated rival, and in the middle of it all, an accident changes everything. Just like that, the path to becoming the best in the world gets a whole lot steeper. Most players would fold. Gorou doesn't. He keeps firing fastballs, pouring everything he has into each throw, determined to carve out the future he has always pictured. Can a pitcher who refuses to back down still reach the top when the road ahead is nothing like he imagined?
