Keita Ibuki has spent his whole life watching people die around him. Classmates, strangers, anyone who gets too close. So he stopped letting anyone in, even Akane, the childhood friend who kept trying anyway. Now he eats alone at the same ramen shop, keeps his head down, and tells himself this is just how it has to be. Then a girl walks in and calls herself a Mototsumitama. Her name is Kuro, and she starts talking about Terra, a life force split between three identical people, and a system that keeps the balance. Keita laughs it off. Until the night he ends up bleeding on the ground and makes a contract with her just to keep breathing. Nobody explains the fine print. Now he cannot leave her side. Not for a minute. Whatever is hunting the Mototsumitama is still out there, and Keita's bad luck has just become something much worse. Is there any way out of a deal he never understood in the first place?
