Centuries of war pushed humanity to stitch the galaxy back together with a government meant to keep the peace. It didn't work. So they built GOTT, a trade and tariff outfit with a shadow side: a squad of enhanced operatives handling the jobs nobody admits exist. Éclair and Lumière are the lowest of the low, ranked C, sent out on one dirty assignment after another. Éclair can throw a fist through a wall and cracks a whip she keeps in her lipstick. Lumière talks to computers and they listen. They finish the mission, they go home, they get another one. Then the pattern starts to break. What they dig up points back at their own bosses, and at themselves, and at memories that don't line up with the files. If everything GOTT told them was a lie, who were they before the uniforms?
