Two first-year girls are already lost. Ayumi can barely speak to strangers, and Tatsuki looks like she would rather be anywhere else. The campus of Kamizono Academy is so huge that finding the right building feels hopeless. Then Torako Kageyama shows up, all noise and appetite, with her friend Suzume trailing behind her. Torako does not ask if they want help. She grabs them and starts walking. One hallway turns into a chase. Classmates get dragged in. Lunch disappears. What started as a simple wrong turn becomes a whole circle of girls who cannot seem to stay out of each other's business, and Ayumi and Tatsuki are right in the middle of it, whether they like it or not. Between classes and club rooms, the problems are small and real: a family that expects too much, a friendship that stings, a girl who cannot say what she means. Torako bulldozes through most of it, but sometimes even she has to stop and think. Will quiet Ayumi ever find her own voice, or will she keep letting the storm carry her?
