Yuuko Yoshida wakes up one morning with horns sprouting from her head and a tail she definitely did not have yesterday. Her mother sits her down and drops the family secret: they descend from a Dark Clan, cursed to live broke and powerless by the magical girls of the Light Clan. The fix is simple, supposedly. Find a magical girl, kill her, and splash her blood on the family's Demon God statue. Then a truck nearly flattens Yuuko, and the girl who yanks her out of the way turns out to be Momo Chiyoda, her own classmate. Also a magical girl. Also strong enough to fold Yuuko in half without trying. Momo takes one look at this pathetic would-be demon and decides to train her instead of finishing her off. So now Yuuko has to get powerful enough to murder the person feeding her snacks and coaching her through basic push-ups, all because her family cannot afford to stay cursed. Can she really go through with it, and what happens if Momo is just waiting to see whether she tries?
