In the village of Hinamizawa, summer never ends. Rika Furude knows this better than anyone, because she has lived the same June 1983 over and over. On the surface it looks like a normal life: friends, school, the yearly festival. Then someone picks up a knife, or a bat, and a classmate dies. Again. And again. Each time the clock rolls back, Rika keeps the memories of every murder while her friends keep none. Here is the part that changes everything. Rika is not just a girl stuck in a loop. She carries the will of Oyashiro, the god of this village, and only one other being, Hanyu, walks beside her through every reset. Together they have tried everything: small nudges, careful warnings, desperate gambles. It always ends the same way, and Rika has started to fall from hope into something much darker. This season finally digs into the questions the first one left buried: who is really pulling the strings, why the deaths repeat, and what the curse of Hinamizawa actually is. Rika has to survive long enough to piece it together, and her friends keep turning on each other before she can. The festival is coming. Can she break the chain this time, or is she already out of chances?
