A murdered man walks out of the ground and goes right back to work. Dr. Saotome, the scientist Nagare Ryoma once killed, is alive again, and he has spent his time away building the Shin Dragon. Now he points it at the whole planet. Ryoma wants nothing to do with any of this. He still has to climb back into the cockpit with Jin Hayato and Tomoe Musashi, two guys he had every reason to never speak to again. Meanwhile, something else is crawling through the population. Aliens called the Invaders slip inside human bodies and twist the flesh from within until a person is just a shape they wear. Nobody knows who is still themselves. The old team is stuck between a dead man holding the world hostage and an enemy they cannot see coming. Can they even trust the people standing next to them?
