A new energy source gets pulled out of the ground near Mount Fuji, and suddenly every nation on Earth wants a piece of it. Photon Power was supposed to end the energy crisis for good. Instead it painted a target on the lab that studies it, because Dr. Hell wants that power all to himself. He doesn't come alone. Baron Ashura, Count Brocken, Viscount Pygman, and a whole army of mechanical beasts dug out of ancient Greek ruins are marching straight for the Photon Power Lab. Standing in their way is Kouji Kabuto, a hotheaded teenager who climbs into a giant robot his grandfather built and throws a punch before anyone can explain the plan. Mazinger Z runs on the same Photon Power everyone is killing for. So the fight is personal from the first second. But Dr. Hell isn't the only thing buried in the past. There's an entire civilization tied to the legends of Mycenae and Bardos Island, and it has been waiting quietly for its moment. What exactly did Kouji's grandfather leave inside Mazinger Z, and why does everyone who gets close to it end up dead?
