Episode 2 · Fireball Charming

Fireball Charming

Drossel von Flügel has a confession to make: she dreamed about a human. Not a threat assessment, not a tactical scan. A dream. So she decides the road to peace starts with talking, with finding some scrap of common ground in words. Then Gedächtnis ruins it. He explains, in that patient way of his, that human language never sits still. It shifts, mutates, invents slang and drops old meanings overnight. The very thing she wants to use as a bridge refuses to hold its shape. So how do you build peace on a foundation that keeps rewriting itself?
