Four girls stand in front of the Demon Lord, ready to seal her away for good. The spell cracks mid-incantation, and the whole party gets flung backward through time, landing in an era before any of them had even graduated. Their memories of the future are gone. Yusha, Seira, Mei and Fai are just students again, chasing the same old dream of becoming the Hero's Party. Only one person made the trip with her mind intact: the Demon Lord herself. Shrunk down to the size of a little kid, she slips into the adventurers' school as a new teacher called Mao. Her plan is simple. Expel Yusha before the girl ever picks up a sword, and the whole hero business never happens. So now the four friends train, study and goof off, dead set on beating a Demon Lord they cannot find. Their target walks the same halls, hands out homework and watches them from behind the lectern. How long can Mao keep her cover with Yusha sitting in her classroom?
