The culture festival is coming up at Kisaragi Academy, and everyone is busy getting ready. Mayu Suzumoto should be excited like the rest of them. Instead she keeps it quiet: once the festival ends, she transfers to another school. So her friends come up with a plan. There is an old charm called Happy Sachiko, a paper doll ritual that is supposed to bind a group together forever, and they decide to try it that night after classes. Then things go sideways. The charm is performed wrong, and the students are pulled down into a broken, decaying version of Tenjin Elementary, a school that was torn down years ago. No way out, no clear explanation. To escape, they have to find each other again and redo the ritual the right way, all while something in the empty hallways is clearly waiting for them. This OVA is set on the day before all of that, back when the biggest problem in their lives was a friend moving away. Just an ordinary day, ordinary conversations, ordinary jokes. So what exactly happened to make everything go so horribly wrong?
