A youma slips into a quiet village and eats a boy's family. Then a woman with silver eyes and a sword on her back walks in and cuts the thing down. She is a Claymore, half human, half monster, made by an Organization to hunt the very creatures she shares blood with. The villagers call her a silver eyed witch behind her back. Raki, the boy, has nothing left, so he follows her. What looks like simple work, town after town, monster after monster, starts to crack. Clare has a rank, a number that measures her power, and so do the other warriors. Their order has rules, debts, and secrets. And Clare is chasing one particular youma, the one she has hated since the day she agreed to become what she is. A boy with no home trails a woman who barely speaks, into a war humans are only told half of. When her revenge finally finds its target, will the thing she became be enough to kill it?
