A nine year old girl with nowhere left to turn gets shipped off on a train, straight into the hands of a lab that wants to poke at her mind. Sumire can see a little too much of what's coming, and none of it is good. So she runs. In the middle of her escape she pops open a cage she was never supposed to touch, and out comes Ikuro, a teenager with a parasite called Baoh coiled inside his brain. Bad idea to corner him. When his back is against the wall, Ikuro stops being a kid and turns into something with claws and teeth that will not stay down. Turns out Doress put Baoh there on purpose, and now their prize specimen is walking out the door hand in hand with their other prize specimen. Professor Kasuminome is not the forgiving type. He sends men, and then he sends worse than men. The two of them are out there somewhere, one hunted for what she can see, the other for what he can become. How long can a girl and a monster keep running before the lab decides to burn everything down around them?
