A walk in the woods. That is all it was supposed to be. Then Shou spots something odd half buried in the leaves, a metal ball humming like it is alive, and before he can pull his hand back it latches on and melts into his skin. Armor crawls over him. Bone, muscle, a face like a blade. He is not wearing the suit. He is the suit now. The thing that grabbed him is called a Guyver Unit, and it is not the only one. A corporation named Chronos wants all three, and they do not send lawyers. They send Zoanoids: men who split open into claws and fangs and come for Shou at school, at home, everywhere he thought was safe. His friend Tetsurou saw the ball too, which makes him a target, and it puts Shou in the worst spot of all. Every time the armor saves his life, it takes a little more of it. Chronos has money, labs, and monsters on tap. Shou has a device he barely understands and a body that answers to it more than to him. So who is actually in control when the plates snap shut: the kid, or the thing that fused with him?
