Episode 8 · Back Arrow

Back Arrow

A giant wall wraps around the land of Lingalind, and as far as anyone knows, nothing exists past it. The wall is their god, their provider. Once a month it drops capsules called Rakuho, and inside are metal armbands that let people summon giant robots: Briheights. Their strength depends on what the pilot believes in. That is why the two nations sharing the continent, brave Rekka and clever Ryuto, are always at each other's throats over the latest delivery. Then a Rakuho falls on a small village at the edge of the map, and it is not empty. A man is inside. He remembers one thing: he came from beyond the wall. The villagers laugh it off, because a world outside is nonsense. But he has a Briheight, he can pilot it, and after he drives off a bandit attacking the village, he takes the name Back Arrow. Now every faction wants him, some to use him, some to silence him. He heads for the wall anyway, chasing the only memory he has left. What is actually waiting on the other side?
