Rygart Arrow is the one guy in the whole world who can't touch quartz, which means no magic, no power, no piloting. Handy, then, that his old college friends happen to be the king and queen of Krisna. Less handy: the army marching on their border answers to Zess, another friend from back then. So Rygart sits at the center of a war he's useless in, until the day he climbs into a Golem and it moves. Now two nations are riding on a man who was never supposed to fight. What happens when the only person who can't use quartz is the one holding everyone's future?
