All Out!!
Kenji Gion is short, and he has heard every joke about it. He is also furious about it, all the time, and anyone who mistakes him for a kid gets an earful. On his first day at Kanagawa High he runs into bullies, and right there beside him is Sumiaki Iwashimizu: huge, quiet, and scared of his own shadow. The two of them get dragged to watch the rugby club practice, and something clicks. Big bodies help, sure, but the sport has room for every shape and size. Gion signs up on the spot. Iwashimizu says no. He has his reasons, and he keeps them to himself. Gion does not care about reasons. He grabs his new friend and hauls him back onto the field anyway. Now it is hits, mud, and drills, all of it aimed at one thing: Hanazono, the national high school championship. Gion has the temper for it. Iwashimizu has the frame for it. What neither of them has is time. Can a guy who gets mistaken for a child and a guy who flinches at contact really stand on the same pitch as the best teams in the country?
