WAVE!! -Let's go surfing!!-
Every morning Masaki runs the beach with his corgi as the sun comes up. He is fourteen, loud, happy, and has never once thought about surfing. Then he sees a blond boy gliding across the water, calm and light on the board, wearing a small smile. A few days later that same boy walks into his classroom as Shou, the new transfer student. Here is the strange part: Masaki cannot even swim. His best friend Nalu, half Hawaiian and endlessly relaxed, has surfed for years and never got him to try it. One look at Shou on a wave, and Masaki grabs a board anyway. Turns out he has a gift for balance, picks things up fast, and soon he is training for a local contest with Shou and Nalu cheering him on. Then something shifts. Behind Shou's soft smile sits a dark shadow, and when it finally spills out it threatens to swallow everyone close to him. Masaki keeps paddling straight into it. So what exactly is Shou hiding out there beyond the break?
