A whole year has passed since the Iwatobi swim club started, and nobody new has signed up. Haruka and Makoto are seniors now, Nagisa and Rei are still around, but that is not enough bodies in the pool. No fresh recruits means the club gets shut down next spring. So they have to sell themselves somehow, fast. Here is the thing: graduation is creeping up on all of them, and Rin already knows what he wants. He is captaining Samezuka now, chasing a career in the water. Haruka and Makoto? They have no idea. Then Sousuke Yamazaki shows up in town, an old friend of Rin's, a scouted swimmer who transfers to Samezuka, and suddenly the easy rhythm between Rin and Haruka goes tense. Three guys who once swam together, now circling each other, and nobody is saying what they really mean. Can this team pull tighter under the pressure, or does it quietly fall apart?
