Reki Kyan only cares about one thing: skating. Not lazy cruising on the street with friends, that is way too dull for him. At night he sneaks into an abandoned mine where the real thing happens. They call it S, an illegal underground race, and the guys down there will happily break the rules and each other just to take first place. Then a bad run costs him everything. Board in pieces, arm in a cast, and no skating at all. While he is stuck working, he meets Langa, the new kid in class who just moved from Canada and has never stood on a board in his life. Langa needs money badly. One trip to the mine goes sideways, and suddenly there is a bet on the table: Langa has to race. But this quiet transfer student is hiding something, some skill Reki never saw coming, and it could flip the whole race upside down. Reki can barely watch from the sidelines with a broken arm while his clueless friend gets thrown into the pit. What exactly is Langa hiding, and what happens when the underground finds out?
