Meguru wants to be a hero of justice. She's in her third year of middle school, she's loud, she's stubborn, and she genuinely believes the world needs saving. Sumire grew up in the Kisaragi household, which is a polite way of saying she was raised to keep her mouth shut and her feelings locked away. She doesn't do friends. She barely does conversation. Then a hedgehog shows up. A talking hedgehog named Miruku-chan, with orders for both of them: become Twin Angels and fight evil. Just like that, two girls who can barely stand next to each other are supposed to share a power and a secret. Meguru charges in headfirst every time. Sumire hangs back, watching, calculating, uncomfortable with how much Meguru seems to need her. Fights go wrong, walls come down slowly, and somewhere in the middle of all that, they start to actually see each other. But Miruku-chan isn't explaining much, and the girls have no idea what they're really caught up in. What happens when the orders stop making sense and the only person you can trust is the one you couldn't stand?
