Illya just wants a normal summer. After the mess with the eighth card, she and the other magical girls are dreaming of beaches and homework they blew off. That plan dies fast. Two figures appear on Mount Enzou. Then the whole world warps, and Illya opens her eyes to snow in the middle of summer. Her Fuyuki is a wreck, a giant crater yawns where the town should be, and Ruby is gone. She barely reaches the ruins of her own house before a girl in a gym uniform slams into her. The girl remembers nothing, not even her own name. They call her Tanaka, and she somehow knows where Rin, Miyu, and everyone else has gone. Problem is, this city belongs to the Ainsworth family, and they do not like trespassers. Illya has no wand, no friends, and a stranger for an ally. Can she really drag her own world back from the brink of something she still does not understand?
