Episode 5 · Trinity Blood

Trinity Blood

The war was supposed to end with Armageddon. It didn't. Vampires and humans just kept killing each other, and the world split in two: the Methuselah in their New Human Empire, the Terrans under the Vatican. Between them, fanatics like the Rosenkreuz Order are only too happy to light the fuse again. So the Vatican has the AX unit, and the AX unit has Abel Nightroad. He looks like a tired priest who might trip over his own feet, all soft smiles and bad posture. Then a vampire shows up, and something else looks out through his eyes. His new partner is Sister Esther Blanchett: young, brave, carrying a past she doesn't talk about. Two people with old wounds, sent to put out fires. It doesn't take them long to notice the fires aren't random. Someone in the shadows is feeding them. And the closer Abel and Esther get to the truth, the more it looks like the answer is buried in their own memories. Can either of them face what's waiting there?
