Ten years after the Holy War, Jirou Mochizuki comes back to Japan with his little brother Kotarou in tow. He earned a nickname in that fight: the Silver Blade. What nobody mentions is the price. His lover didn't make it out with him. They're heading for the Special Zone, a city where humans and vampires actually live side by side. A barrier keeps the Children of Coffin out, unless somebody invites them in. Jirou and Kotarou carry the old blood, the last heirs of an ancient vampire clan, and that makes them valuable for all the wrong reasons. Then Kotarou gets taken. The enemy from the war isn't as dead as everyone hoped, and Jirou has to pick up his weapon again, with a negotiator named Mimiko at his side and a bloodline he barely uses. Can a man who already lost what he loved most really keep the one person he has left?
