Time of Eve

Eve no Jikan · イヴの時間
Sci-FiSlice of Life2008Studio RikkaRating 8,013+HD

In near future Japan, androids look exactly like people. The only giveaway is a glowing three dimensional ring hovering over each head, a constant reminder that they are appliances. That is how Rikuo was raised to see them. Then he finds odd entries in the activity log of Sammy, the android who keeps his house. Trips with no orders behind them. Small detours nobody asked for. He follows the trail with his friend Masaki and ends up at a cafe called Eve no Jikan. One rule hangs over the door: humans and androids are treated exactly the same inside. No exceptions. The place is quiet and strange, and Rikuo keeps coming back, not just out of curiosity but because Sammy's behavior no longer fits anything he was taught to believe. Society has its own answer for people who get attached to machines. They get a name, android-holics, and a whole lot of sideways looks. Rikuo knows all of that. He also knows what he saw in those logs. So what is really going on behind that ring above Sammy's head?
