A girl who fights for a living runs into a young man who can't even remember his own name. She calls him Tutor, and just like that they hit the road together. He doesn't know where he came from. She doesn't ask too many questions. Along the way they keep running into the Alien, an enemy that never quite dies and never quite explains itself. Then the pieces start to click. Every dead end, every ambush, every scrap of Tutor's lost memory points at something bigger pulling strings from the shadows. Someone out there wants to own the life of a warrior girl named Slude, and Fania is not about to let that happen. So they stop running and decide to burn it all down and clean the land for good. What Tutor can't remember might be the one thing that decides whether any of them walk away. And if the force in the shadows already owns Slude, what exactly is left to save?
