A year after Kazuto barely crawled out of Sword Art Online, he's just a kid again. School, quiet nights, a life that mostly holds together. Then a message arrives: people are dying in their beds, and the murder weapon is a gun fired inside a game called Gun Gale Online. One player, Death Gun, pulls the trigger in the virtual world and a body drops in the real one. Officials want Kirito back in a headset. He goes in. And here the show turns: the deadliest killer in the game isn't a monster or a boss, just some guy with a pistol and a plan. Kirito teams up with Sinon, a sniper who flinches at loud sounds and carries her own bad history. Together they sign up for the Bullet of Bullets tournament, a contest full of trigger-happy strangers where Death Gun is guaranteed to show his face. Nothing about the plan is clean. Old wounds keep dragging both of them off balance, and the man they're hunting might not need to aim at them at all. Who logs into a game knowing the next shot could end someone outside it?
