A strange illness keeps genius Iria Akagami locked away on Wet Crow's Feather Island, a lonely mansion surrounded by water. Her family put her there. The maids are her only company, so she fills the empty rooms with other brilliant people: a computer savant named Tomo Kunagisa and her unnamed assistant, a fortune teller, a famous painter, a scholar, a cook. Guests come and go. It works, more or less. Then somebody dies. Not quietly, not peacefully. One of the guests is found butchered in the night, and there is no motive, no witness, no weapon, nothing at all to point at a killer. Everyone still breathing is a suspect. The mansion turns tense, doors get locked, and Tomo's assistant, a guy who never asked for any of this, starts digging because nobody else will. Here is the part that gnaws at him: no matter how hard he pushes, how many clues he lines up, it always falls apart in his hands. Every move he makes feels wasted. So who on this island is actually playing him, and what happens when the next night comes?
