Tenchi just wanted some quiet. After another shouting match between Ryoko and Aeka, he slips away into the woods near the shrine and hears a voice drifting out of a camellia tree. He steps closer. Then he is gone. Six months pass with no sign of him. Most of his friends have quietly stopped hoping, but a few refuse to let it end there. They split into two groups: Aeka and Ryoko stay on Earth digging for clues, while Washu, Sasami, Kiyone and Mihoshi tear across the galaxy searching. Then a reading flickers onto their radar. They find him, finally. Only it is not the reunion anyone imagined. Tenchi is living in another world with a woman none of them have ever seen, and he looks happy. Worse, he has no memory of any of them. They still have to figure out how to reach that world in the first place. And even if they get there, what do you do when the person you came to rescue does not want to be rescued?
